The Abbey Lodge Hotel

What a find this was. First impressions on entering the hotel, noticed that the garden was well tended with a neat, mowed lawn and pretty border flowers. A warm welcome and advice on where to park the car. Clean, modern and tidy throughout. Our spacious room overlooked the front garden and church on the road side, but was extremely quiet. The window opened fully, which is such a blessing as I do like fresh air, most hotels' windows only open a fraction. The bed was huge and comfy. The bathroom, very clean and midern, with plenty of fluffy white towels and a powerful shower. There's a hairdryer and iron if needed. Plenty of sockets to plug in your gadgets. Free WiFi. Smart tv. Breakfast was spot on, served by very friendly ladies, it came quickly and was hot and delicious, with quality bacon and sausage. Whilst waiting for friends, we had a short walk into the town centre. Which was quaint and had a friendly, warm feel to it. Close to pubs and eating places. Salts mill, Saltaire not far away, and a short journey into Bradford, which is a lovely city, with lots of historic architecture. Perfect. Will definitely be staying here again.

Everything about this place was just lovely from the moment I arrived. The smiling gentleman that checked me in was sure to give me all the info I needed with breakfast times and how it works, which I found very helpful even for just one night's stay. The room was small and cosy, but in a good way, and any basics one might need are in the room. And, let me say, the breakfast is worth waking up for. Everything was delicious, especially the sausage. S rank, no notes.

Lovely spotless room with a very large comfortable bed. Staff are really lovely. Breakfast excellent. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely place in a beautiful location. Loved the room and shower etc staff helpful and friendly. Could improve on the vegan veggie breakfast, the sausages I didn’t get anrrived promptly when asked but were not the best sausages there are better and more tasty options out there. Possibly offer non dairy milk? and I would definitely visit again.

Great place to stay, lovely staff, very clean, comfortable rooms, ample parking. Has great Gluten free (GF) options for breakfast, including soya milk for lastose intolerant coeliacs. I highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our short stay here, having stayed here before a few years ago. The breakfast was super and everything was lovely. The staff are really friendly and happy to speak with you. We checked out and was able to leave our car in the car park. The manager invited us to come back in for a cup of tea and to use the toilet before we left. Would definitely stay here again.

Sorry we didn't say goodbye as used the backdoor as my suitcase wheelsadly broke and needed to stay where it was flat by the carpark to support my broken wheel.. See u all very soon!

Lovely Hotel. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was very clean, comfortable queen bed. Window opened quite far to let air in. We were last in for breakfast which was freshly cooked, local sourced bacon and sausage which were delicious. I can't recommend them enough and will definitely be staying again when in the area. To all the staff a big thank you for a very pleasant stay.
